We love Rogue products.

Since it’s the holiday season, we thought we would do a few posts about the products we use and because we love them, we also applied to be an affiliate. If you order through our links then we may get a small commission, which we would really appreciate.

EQUIPMENT

One of my favorite purchases from Rogue has been my jump rope. During quarantine, I ruined my first one by jumping on the cement. But I loved it so much, I bought another one exactly like it! For Christmas last year, my husband got me this amazing Toomey Edition Women’s Bella barbell. Baby Blue is my favorite. The rowers we use at home and at our gyms is the Concept 2 Rower. We also just ordered the Rogue Vertical Plate Tree. We are working on building our home gym. We love working out with the CrossFit community but it is nice to have the option to do something at home, especially when we feel like sleeping in!

OTHER STUFF

rogue trucker hatI bought my husband this hat, which he loves. Although I don’t use it as much anymore, I used to use a lot of tape. This goat tape is the best. We also have these Rogue Bumper plates.rogue bumper plates

We believe Rogue has great quality products. Many of the CrossFit gyms we go to use them as well as people who have created gyms at home. If you decide to order, please go through this link or the Rogue ad below. The links to the products don’t have my affiliate ID in them, but I wanted you to see what we use. Please let us know if you have any questions. Happy shopping!

Today is Cyber Monday and there are some great deals at Reebok!

Being a blogger means I have access to some affiliate links to promote products that we use and love. Since I started CrossFit I have been using Reebok shoes. I started with the Reebok Women’s ROS Trainer 2.0. The problem is they seemed to have quit making them 🙁 Therefore, I tried a new pair a friend recommended. They are the Reebok Women’s Speed Tr Flexweave CrossTrainers, which I am starting to love. I highly recommend Reebok shoes. I also love their sports bras and my husband loves their workout shorts.

One of our favorite things to add to our eggs in the mornings is chicken apple sausage. We found this at Walmart about a year ago and love it. This summer, we realized it tastes even better when cooked on the grill. Problem is, it’s sausage and more processed than what we really want to eat. For years, I have been making turkey breakfast sausage so I decided to Google homemade chicken apple sausage, and I found a wonderful, easy recipe.

Ingredients

  • For recipe click HERE.
  • Coconut oil
  • Yellow onion
  • Apples — We used Granny Smith Apples
  • Ground chicken
  • Ground sage
  • Fennel seeds- We did not have these so I just left them out.
  • Salt and pepper
  • Smoked paprika
  • Cayenne pepper

Stacy’s Suggestions and Preparation

  1. We followed the recipe through that link without the fennel seeds. I am not sure if the seeds would help the patties stick together better or not. I did try sprinkling a few bread crumbs into the recipe the other morning, but it didn’t seem to help.
  2. We added 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  3. We also added 1/2 cup of mushrooms
  4. We pan-fried the onion, apple, mushrooms
  5. Then we mixed it all together
  6. Then made it into patties and pan-fried it in the same pan for a few minutes on each side.

Although it’s not the same as sausage links, it does the job for us. Like we said in previous posts, there are good, better, and best options. In this case, chicken apple sausage is better for you than beef sausage, whereas homemade chicken apple sausage is the best option, and you can eat it every week if you choose!
